The careers education landscape
Thursday 14 March 2024, 14:00-15:00
Join us for the latest in our Code & Neon webinar series. Led by Becs Healy, Careers Inspiration Manager at EngineeringUK, the webinar will explore the careers landscape.
In this webinar you will:
- Learn about the various roles and approaches schools take in the design, development, and delivery of a strategic careers programme
- Understand more about the areas of focus, motives, and key frameworks and timings in academic years to help you consider what, when, and how to tailor your organisation’s schools’ outreach and CSR approaches and campaigns
- Build your knowledge on how to connect and create links to the labour market needs, now and for the future world of work
The webinar would be ideal for organisations either starting out in development or seeking a CPD refresher, or those who are looking to revise the approach to their school engagement programmes.
Making careers and outreach experiences accessible for visually impaired young people
Thursday 28 March 2024, 14:00-15:00
Join us on Thursday 28 March for a webinar led by the Royal Society for Blind Children exploring how you make your careers and outreach experiences accessible for visually impaired young people.
In the session, we’ll aim to challenge common misconceptions around visual impairment, before discussing the importance of including visually impaired young people in STEM careers and outreach experiences. Supported by case studies and inspiring stories, we’ll look at best practice around accommodating the needs of visually impaired young people from education to the workplace and provide guidance on the support and services available to them.
Created to support The Code Driving inclusion pledge, this webinar is the first in a series looking at accessibility and is ideal for both Signatories and Supporters interested in making their activities and work inclusive for disabled young people.
Code members will receive more information via email. Sign up to The Code to get access to the workshops.
